I. Who is responsible for processing your data?

The party responsible for processing your data is Barceló Gestión Hotelera, S.L. (hereinafter, “BGH”), with registered offices in c/ Josep Rover Motta, 27, 07006, Palma de Mallorca. Any questions you have regarding data protection may be sent to the BGH Data Protection Officer at

II. What are the purposes and legal grounds for processing your data? 

Firstly, for the purpose of this privacy policy, COMPANY will be understood as any company in the travel industry (wholesale or retail travel agency) or any other industry. 

BGH informs the participant that any personal data will be processed by BGH for the following purposes:

1. Formalising the participant's registration in Barceló Pro Rewards and managing the contractual relationship entered by becoming a member of the programme. 

The participant part of Barceló Pro can register in Barceló Pro Rewards by completing the form available on the Barceló Pro Rewards website. 

As a result of the new participant's registration in Barceló Pro Rewards, BGH will provide credentials so said participant can log in to their private area and carry out any operation deemed appropriate (looking up the available points, checking the promotions to obtain points, completing E-learning activities, and looking for information about exchanging points, among others). 

The data requested will be appropriate and pertinent to complete the registration and membership; thus, if this data is not provided, BGH will be unable to process the application made by the participant. 

Legal Grounds: this processing arises from the execution of the contract in terms of the participant's independent registration and from the participant's compliance obtained by the Agency, if the latter formalises the participant's registration.

2. Sending a newsletter informing about the available points, how to obtain more points and exchanging those obtained. 

Once the participant has formalised their membership in Barceló Pro Rewards, BGH will send a regular newsletter informing about the available points and the current opportunities to get more points, with which the participant will obtain further visibility of the promotion of BGH products and services. 

Legal Grounds: This processing is necessary to execute the contract.

3. Compliance with accounting, legal, tax and administrative requirements. 

Legitimation: This processing is necessary to execute the contract. 

4. Contacting the participant to answer a question or for claims. BGH will process the data of the participant in order to process the answers to questions or claims received through the contact form. Similarly, BGH may contact said participants if necessary to process their request or to execute the contract.

5. Analysing and studying interactions with the page. BGH may process the personal data of the participants once they log into the website so as to analyse any interactions, movements, scrolls, visits or product and points look-ups that the participant may engage in while on the website. 

Legal Grounds: This processing is necessary to satisfy the legitimate interests of BGH. The participant may object to the processing of their data for this purpose by following the instructions detailed in Section V. 

6. Computerised control of the website. BGH will carry out website use control and surveillance actions aimed at preventing and detecting any fraudulent use, unauthorised access, and personal on non-personal date loss or amendment. 

Legal Grounds: This processing is required to comply with the legal provisions set forth by the Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce Act, as well as to fulfil the legitimate interests of Barceló in ensuring the network's and data's security. 

7. Reporting of system incidents and their management. BGH shall process any data from participants required to manage any reported incident or any incident detected by BGH using its own means. This processing shall only be carried out for the purpose of solving the incident and any problem arising therefrom. 

Legitimation: This processing is necessary to satisfy the legitimate interests of BGH. The customer may object to the processing of their data for this purpose by following the instructions detailed in Section V.

III. How long will we store your data? 

The personal data we access and process will be stored for as long as it is needed to comply with the purpose for which it was collected and for as long as the participant is a member of the Barceló Pro Rewards programme. 

Specifically, in the event that the participant does not interact in the Barceló Pro Rewards programme for a period of one year, their profile will be changed to “inactive” and the data shall be blocked. As of this point, the time period established before definitely deleting the data, in conformance with the following paragraph, shall begin. 

Once the purpose for processing the data expires, BGH will store the personal data, properly blocked, so that it is available to the competent public agencies, judges and courts, or to tax agencies, during the limitation period for the actions that may stem from the relationship with the customer and/or for the legally specified storage periods. BGH will physically delete the data once said periods expire. 

IV. To whom will we disclose your data? 

BGH may disclose data to: 

· Competent Public Agencies, Judges and Courts. 

· The above disclosures notwithstanding, BGH collaborates with certain third-party service providers that have access to the personal data of customers and that process said data for and on behalf of BGH over the course of the services they render. Specifically, BGH will contract services from third-party providers whose activity includes, but is not limited to, the following sectors: legal counsel, multidisciplinary professional service companies, technology service providers, computer service providers. 

V - What are your rights when you give us your data? 

The participants may, if they wish, exercise the right to access, rectify and delete their data, request that the processing of their personal data be limited, object to any processing, request the portability of their data, and not to be subject to automated individual decision-making, by way of the following:
